Marla started her professional career as an elementary special education teacher. She later spent several years teaching vocational and life skills to high school and post-high school age students. She then came to the Center for Persons with Disabilities as the Program Coordinator for the UP to 3, Early Intervention program. Marla seeks to ensure quality services to the infants and toddlers and their families who are eligible for early intervention services in Utah's 3 northern counties. She helps develop and implement policy, ensure compliance, develop and implement programs and helps faciliate direct services to children who may have Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Marla coordinates Up to 3's services with those of other local agencies who serve young children and families. She also works with other early intervention providers throughout the state and with early intervention personnel at the state level.

Marla earned her degrees in special education from Brigham Young University and in family,consumer,and human development from Utah State Univerity.
