Janel Boyer received her Bachelors degree in Family Consumer and Human Development with a family and community services emphasis in June of 2007. She received her Early Intervention credential in November of 2008. Janel is currently an Early Intervention specialist with the South East Early Intervention Program in Carbon and Emery counties. She loves her job working with children birth to three years old with developmental delays and their families.
Janel recently became a certified trainer for the Hanen, Learning Language and Loving It program and has provided this training to other staff at South East Early Intervention.
She is the mother of 5 children. Her oldest, Tricia, is almost 27 and she and her husband, Morgan, have two children; Hunter is 6 and Maxton is 3. Janel's second child, Roger, is 25 and is the wharehouse manager for Bullfrog Marina at Lake Powell. Her third child, Judy, is 23 and lives at home with mom and dad. She was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome at the age of 14 and has done very well. Her fourth child, Robert, and his wife Jasmine have a 6 month old baby girl named Acia. Janel's baby, Jeffrey, turned 17 in February and will be working with his big brother at Lake Powell this summer before coming home to complete his senior year of high school. Janel has been married to her wonderful husband, Roger, for almost 26 years. He is currently a stay at home dad and is enjoying his break from the workforce.
Janel loves to knit, sew, scrapbook and anything outdoors but her favorite activity is spending time with her 2 grandsons. She also has a talent for theme parties and cakes. All her family wait anxiously for their birthdays just so they can see what cake she comes up with next.
